Robinsons Land, Pag-IBIG expand homeownership under Expanded 4PH

More Filipino workers will have access to homes under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (Expanded 4PH) Program as Robinsons Land Corporation joins Pag-IBIG Fund’s roster of developer partners offering preferential pricing and buyer incentives on participating properties.

The partnership, formalized on Oct. 5 in Pasig City, connects qualified Pag-IBIG Fund members with selected homes from Robinsons Land, including units that may be ready for occupancy, subject to specific terms and availability.

“By bringing together Pag-IBIG’s housing financing solutions and RLC Residences’ diverse portfolio of homes, we hope to make homeownership more accessible to more Filipino families and bring them closer to finding a place they can truly call their own,” Robinsons Land President and CEO Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio said.

Under the agreement, Pag-IBIG Fund will support home-matching activities, housing fairs, member briefings, and online promotions, while housing loan counseling and assistance with documentary requirements will help prospective buyers understand their financing options. Loan approval remains subject to Pag-IBIG Fund’s evaluation and applicable guidelines.

More financing options for homebuyers

The partnership comes as Pag-IBIG Fund expands its financing capacity for middle-income earners. In June, the agency increased its maximum housing loan amount to P10 million, giving members access to a wider range of homes while encouraging developers to provide preferential pricing.

Pag-IBIG Fund is also offering promotional rates of 4.5% per year for loans of up to P4.9 million and 5.75% for loans above P4.9 million up to P10 million. Both rates are fixed for the first three years, with the promotional offer available until the end of 2026.

Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene C. Acosta said the combination of lower-priced homes and affordable financing can make monthly payments more manageable for families.

“We know how much owning a home means to our members and their families. That dream becomes more attainable when an affordable home price is matched by financing that keeps monthly payments within their means. Through our partnership with Robinsons Land, we are bringing together its preferential pricing and buyer incentives with our affordable Pag-IBIG Housing Loans,” Acosta said.

“Lower monthly payments help families sustain their housing loan repayments while leaving more room in their budget for other necessities, savings, and plans for the future. We want our members to find a home that suits their family and their budget, with affordable home financing they can rely on from Pag-IBIG Fund,” she added.

Expanding access through public-private partnership

The agreement was signed during National Shelter Month, as the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), Pag-IBIG Fund and private-sector developers continue efforts to expand access to homeownership.

DHSUD Secretary and Pag-IBIG Fund Board Chairman Jose Ramon P. Aliling said the growing participation of developers demonstrates how the government’s housing directive is translating into more options for Filipino families.

“President Marcos has directed us to do all that is necessary to bring homeownership within reach of more Filipino families under Expanded 4PH. We are seeing this direction bear fruit as more leading developers join our efforts, giving Filipino workers more homes to choose from and more opportunities to find one they can afford,” Aliling said.

“Robinsons Land’s participation builds on these gains and strengthens our resolve to sustain them. Together, government and our private-sector partners are turning our shared commitment into concrete opportunities for more Filipinos to own a home,” he added.

For Robinsons Land, the partnership also reflects a broader measure of its role as a developer.

“We recognize that our progress as a developer is measured by more than the buildings we complete or the communities we establish. It is ultimately measured by the lives we touch, the families we welcome, and the opportunities we help create. Through this partnership, we hope to make that impact even greater,” Aragon-GoBio said.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Acosta and Aragon-GoBio, with Aliling witnessing. Pag-IBIG Fund Deputy Chief Executive Officer Alexander Hilario G. Aguilar and Robinsons Land Business Unit General Manager Teddy V. Bernas for RLC Residences also served as witnesses.

Also in attendance were DHSUD Senior Usec. Eduardo P. Robles, Jr.; Pag-IBIG Fund Deputy Chief Executive Officer Benjamin R. Felix Jr.; Senior Vice President Fermin A. Sta. Teresa, Jr.; and Acting Vice Presidents Atty. Jose Robert Po and Tina Marie Gabiosa.
