“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” — Eleanor Roosevelt.
Believing can be powerful—and at times, difficult. We all have moments when we ask ourselves, What will my future look like? But when we choose to believe in ourselves and in what’s possible, things begin to fall into place, and our purpose becomes clearer.
In that space, I found myself reflecting on the journeys of countless women who began with nothing but an idea, faced uncertainty, and chose to keep going. They didn’t just build businesses—they created legacies that uplift families, strengthen communities, and inspire others to believe in their own dreams.
This was the exact thought on my mind as I stepped into the role of President of Women’s Business Council Philippines. More than a mere title-I was embracing a responsibility shaped by the courage of those who came before us, and a shared journey defined by resilience, vision, and the belief that women will continue to shape the future of our economies.

For years, WomenBizPH has stood as a strong advocate for women in business. We have championed voices, opened doors, and created spaces where women could lead, grow, and be heard. But as I take on this role, I find myself asking a bigger question: What comes next?
The answer is clear in our 2026 roadmap.
This year, we are not just continuing the conversation—we are transforming it. We are moving from advocacy to action, from support to scale, from influence to measurable impact.
At the heart of this transformation are three major initiatives— the ASEAN Women Economic Summit (AWES), the ASEAN Trade Expo, and the Amazing Weaves & Waves Fair. These are not just events—they are platforms designed to redefine the role of women in the economy, not only in the Philippines, but across the ASEAN region.
AWES places women at the center of economic discourse—where they belong. For too long, women have been part of the conversation, but not always at the decision-making table. AWES changes that—bringing together leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to shape policy, drive investment, and influence the future of regional trade.

Meanwhile, the ASEAN Trade Expo is where vision meets opportunity. It is a deliberate step toward integrating women-led enterprises into larger regional and global value chains. We are creating direct pathways—real, tangible access—to markets, partnerships, and growth. Because empowerment, to me, is not just about inspiration. It’s about access.
And then there is the Amazing Weaves & Waves Fair—a celebration close to my heart. It is where culture meets commerce, where our local artisans and community-based entrepreneurs are elevated onto a broader economic stage. It reminds us that behind every product is a story, a heritage, and a woman whose work deserves not only recognition but real economic value.
Together, these initiatives signal what I believe is a necessary and timely pivot—not just for WomenBizPH, but for the region.

We are moving women-led enterprises from social advocacy to a high-impact economic mandate.
This calls us to think bigger, act bolder, and measure success not just in participation, but in contribution—to GDP, to trade, and to national development. It means ensuring that women are not only included in the economy, but are actively shaping it.
As President, my vision is clear: to position the Women’s Business Council Philippines as a catalyst for this transformation—a platform where women leaders and entrepreneurs do more than connect. They collaborate, influence policy, and drive economic growth across sectors and borders.
Because when women rise in business, economies don’t just grow—they thrive.
And in 2026, we claim our place not just as participants in progress, but as architects of it.
