Suntrust Properties, Inc. successfully held the 14th Suntrust Cup on May 15, 2026 in the prestigious fairways of Sherwood Hills Golf Club, Inc., a Jack Nicklaus signature course, in Trece Martires, Cavite.
Now in its 14th year, the Suntrust Cup continues to serve as more than just a golf tournament. It has become an annual tradition that fosters camaraderie and strengthens business ties among Suntrust and its partners, contractors, suppliers, and service providers through a friendly yet competitive round of golf and entertainment. The modified three-man scramble event featured an impressive lineup of 216 players,with participation from Sherwood Hills members and guests.
At the close of play, outstanding teams were recognized for their performance across different divisions, led by the Low Gross Champions, Roh Gi Choon, Jung Kyung Young, and Kim Chung Sik.
Group champions were likewise honored, with Jess Taño, Fred Correo, and Jun Jun Soria winning Group 1; Jaime Fernandez, Jaime Panganiban, and Peter Murphy topping Group 2; Larry Abalos, Alfredo Mendoza, and Eleazar Zetha prevailing in Group 3; and Ronaldo Hernandez, Minh Batinga, and Ernani Anglo securing the Group 4 title.
Beyond the competition, Suntrust once again reinforced its commitment to its partner community through continued support for the Sherwood Hills caddie group. Building on ₱100,000 seed fund donated during last year’s tournament, the company provided an additional ₱100,000 contribution this year to further strengthen the Caddies’ Emergency Support Fund established through the Suntrust Cup.
The fund provides financial assistance to caddies during medical emergencies and other urgent family needs, reflecting Suntrust’s continuing commitment to “malasakit” and shared community responsibility.
“We see Sherwood Hills not only as a valued partner, but as a community we continue to grow with. The Suntrust Cup allows us to come together not just for the game, but in support of people who are part of our extended family,” said Suntrust President Atty. Harry Paltongan.
