BellaVita Naga turns over first homes to city employees

For 110 Naga City government employees, homeownership has moved from a long-term goal to a new reality as BellaVita, Ayala Land Inc.’s socialized housing arm, began turning over homes under a program covering 1,011 units in Barangay Pacol.

The first batch of homes was formally awarded on August 18, with Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo leading the turnover alongside Pag-IBIG Fund President and CEO Marilene Acosta, Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) President and CEO Frederico Laxa, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Assistant (DHSUD) Secretary Engr. Johnson Domingo, Ayala Land Group Head of Strategic Growth and New Ventures and Chief Sustainability Officer Robert S. Lao, and representatives of the Naga City Housing and Settlements Development Office.

“Today, we are awarding the house keys to 110 beneficiaries… Ang pinakamaganda dito sa BellaVita, fully developed na ‘yung buong village. Meron nang multi-purpose hall, yari na ‘yung mga bahay,” said Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo. “Malaki ang pasasalamat po namin sa BellaVita for offering this to us. Maraming salamat sa Pag-IBIG for making this possible. Napakapalad po ng Naga City.”

The employee housing program was established through a Memorandum of Agreement between BellaVita Land Corp. and the City Government of Naga. Under the arrangement, the city facilitates employee participation through its Housing and Settlements Development Office and coordinates with Pag-IBIG Fund, while qualified employees individually secure their homes through Pag-IBIG housing loans.

The units included in the initial turnover have completed road infrastructure as well as water and electricity connections. The 1,011 homes covered by the agreement form part of the BellaVita Naga community.

“[This project] did not arrive on its own. It took Mayor Robredo and the entire Naga City government, Secretary Aliling and the DHSUD, and Pag-IBIG Fund under CEO Marilene Acosta—all choosing to build a bridge together, so that the very people who keep this city running, who process the permits, clear the streets, and answer the calls at City Hall, could come home to an address of their own, here in the same city they serve,” Lao said.

The initiative brings together local government support, private-sector socialized housing, and Pag-IBIG financing to create a more direct route to homeownership for government workers.

For the first 110 beneficiaries, the turnover represents not only the acquisition of a property but also the opportunity to establish their homes within the community they serve.

BellaVita develops affordable residential communities that combine homeownership with community facilities and livelihood opportunities, providing spaces where Filipino families can build their futures.
