Philippine Travel Mart returns in September with focus on next-gen tourism

The Philippine Travel Mart (PTM), the country’s longest-running travel fair, is set to return for its 37th edition from September 4 to 6, 2026 at the SMX Convention Center in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

Colorful experiences bring the PHL Travel Mart experience to life

Organized by the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA), this year’s event will occupy Halls A to D of the convention center and will carry the theme “Nurturing the NextGen Tourism,” highlighting a more future-focused approach to Philippine travel while encouraging Filipinos to rediscover local destinations through the campaign “Discover Your Philippines.”

Over the course of three days, the fair is expected to bring together a wide range of exhibitors from across the tourism and hospitality sector, including tour operators, travel agencies, hotels, resorts, airlines, transport providers, local government units, and related travel brands and services.

The Department of Tourism is also extending full support to the event, with participation from all administrative regions, including the Cordillera Administrative Region and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Long regarded as a key annual event for travelers planning their next local getaway, the Philippine Travel Mart continues to position itself as a one-stop venue for destination discovery and travel deals. Visitors can expect exclusive on-site offers on tour packages, hotel stays, airfare, and other travel essentials, with many exhibitors offering event-exclusive discounts across some of the country’s top destinations.

Beyond travel bookings, the fair will feature live performances, presentations, and discussions highlighting emerging trends and opportunities in the tourism industry.

PHILTOA President and 37th PTM Organizing Committee Chair Ma. Lourdes F. Japson said the event reflects the tourism sector’s continued push to strengthen domestic travel and community-based growth.

“As we mount the 37th Philippine Travel Mart, we are both proud and hopeful about the role we continue to play in strengthening domestic tourism. This year’s theme reflects our commitment to supporting a more resilient, inclusive, and forward-looking industry — one that creates opportunities not just for businesses, but for communities across the country. At a time when many Filipinos are more mindful of travel costs, we believe that exploring our own destinations remains one of the most meaningful ways to reconnect, recharge, and contribute to the local economy.”

The event is anchored on PHILTOA’s NextGen Tourism framework, which centers on four institutional pillars: sustainability, digitalization, inclusivity, and health and wellness. These principles aim to promote responsible tourism practices, improve accessibility, encourage the use of digital travel tools, and support experiences that contribute to overall well-being.

Tickets for the Philippine Travel Mart will be available online beginning July 2026 through PHILTOA’s official website. Regular admission is priced at P120, with discounted rates offered to senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
