Beyond luxury living

Landco Pacific Corporation took home five honors at the 2026 PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards, including Best Sustainable Residential Developer, Best Luxury Developer and Best Lifestyle Boutique Developer. The Spinnaker, meanwhile, was named Best Condo Development (Luzon) and Best Condo Development (Philippines).

In this Q&A with PhilSTAR Property, President and CEO Erickson Y. Manzano reflects on the philosophy behind the wins and where Landco goes from here.

PSTAR: How do sustainability, luxury, and lifestyle come together within Landco’s development philosophy?

MANZANO: For us, these three aren’t separate boxes to check. They triangulate into one main idea.

Lifestyle is really the point of it all. A home should give life back to the people living in it, not just shelter them.

Luxury is what makes that lifestyle feel deliberate. To truly give life back, a home has to be comfortable and relaxing.

And sustainability is what makes that lifestyle last. Comfort shouldn’t come at the cost of excess. We believe living responsibly isn’t a trend; it’s every decent person’s obligation to the world.

Q&A with Erickson Y. Manzano, president and CEO of Landco Pacific Corporation and Landco Lifestyle Ventures, on what the company’s PropertyGuru wins reveal about its approach to luxury, sustainability, and lifestyle-driven development.

Every Landco project starts from that premise.

PSTAR: The Spinnaker was named Best Condo Development (Luzon) and Best Condo Development (Philippines). What distinguishes it?

MANZANO: What I think set The Spinnaker apart is that it was never trying to be a generic “condo by the beach.” We took our time with the design because we wanted something iconic, a place our clients would still feel proud to call home decades from now, not just at launch.

We thought hard about what amenities a client actually needs to live a luxury life, not just what looks good in a brochure. And we thought just as hard about how to deliver that luxury responsibly.

I think that’s what the judges saw: an iconic project built to last, not just to sell fast.

PSTAR: How is Landco responding to growing demand for experiences, wellness, sustainability and connection to place?

MANZANO: We’re in the hospitality business too, through our subsidiary, Landco Lifestyle Ventures. We currently manage The John Hay Hotels, CaSoBē in Calatagan, Club Laiya, and Costa Azalea in Samal Island. Hospitality has always been part of Landco’s DNA, and that ethos goes all the way back to Punta Fuego.

When we design a project, the experience around it is at the top of the checklist. We build amenities that get people to actually use the outdoors, architecture that’s iconic but complements the site, and communities designed for belonging.

We don’t just develop a project and walk away. We stay. We host the experience. We’re in it for the long haul.

PSTAR: How will these recognitions influence Landco’s next generation of developments?

MANZANO: These awards validate the direction we’re already on, and they give us the confidence to go bigger. You’ll see this philosophy scaled into larger, even more iconic resort-caliber master plans, not just single towers or enclaves, but destinations in their own right.

We’re thinking in decades. The goal isn’t to sell out a project and move on. It’s to build a portfolio that carries Landco’s identity forward long after this generation of buyers has handed the keys to their children.

For Landco, the wins affirm an approach that brings lifestyle, luxury and sustainability together while building places intended to endure.
